Precipitated Calcium Carbonate – Multifunctional Additive for PVC Calcium carbonate is one of the most widely utilized minerals additives in several PVC appliions. Ground calcium carbonates (GCC) are used mainly as fillers, while precipitated calcium carbonates (PCC) are multi-functional additives that can function as reinforcing fillers, processing aids and impact modifiers.

Variable in vitro binding of vitamin K in the presence or absence of phosphate was reported for calcium acetate/magnesium carbonate, lanthanum carbonate and calcium carbonate, but not for sucroferric oxyhydroxide and sevelamer carbonate .
The objective of this study was to analyze the temporal variability of biometric features and the carbonate production of two charophytes: Chara polyacantha A. Braun and Chara rudis A. Braun against the background of the physical-chemical properties of water. The investigation was carried out in a small, mid-forest Lake Jasne (western Poland). It is a polymictic, mesotrophic
Potassium carbonate has a wide range of industrial and research appliions. The major use of potassium carbonate is the manufacture of chemicals, fertilizers, soap and glass. It is used as a drying agent for solvents especially if there are traces of acids present, and as a scavenger of acids produced in organic synthesis.

The functional, aliphatic poly(1,2-glycerol carbonate) as a fundamental, simple polymer structure based on glycerol and CO2 was prepared by coination of glycidyl ether monomers with carbon dioxide via two different approaches. The material was obtained by two-step procedures either via copolymerization of (i) ethoxy ethyl glycidyl ether (EEGE) or (ii) benzyl glycidyl ether (BGE) with CO2
HCO3-– Alkalinity Introduction Alkalinity is a measure of the buffering capacity of a stream water, i.e., the ability of water to resist changes in pH. Stream water with relative high alkalinities has a greater ability to neutralise acidic pollution from rainfall or wastewater

In inorganic chemistry, bicarbonate (IUPAC-recommended nomenclature: hydrogen carbonate) is an intermediate form in the deprotonation of carbonic acid. It is a polyatomic anion with the chemical formula HCO− 3. Bicarbonate serves a crucial biochemical role in the physiological pH buffering system. The term "bicarbonate" was coined in

Carbonate mud may aid suspension of grains in carbonate noncohesive flows, which would translate into carbonate-sand-rich sediments being deposited farther out into a basin. As with debris flows, hyperconcentrated flows are deposited mainly by frictional freezing produced by grain-to-grain interaction ( Mulder and Alexander, 2001 ).
The Bolesław-Bukowno mining area in Poland is highly polluted by elements such as Zn, Pb, Cd and As. The reactivity and mobility of toxic elements such as Tl are poorly known. Here, we studied by sequential extraction the mobility of As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Mo, Pb, Tl and Zn in sediments from two water reservoirs near Bukowno.
In this paper, the production of CaCO3 particles via the carbonation route in the reaction of CaCl2 and CO2, using NH3 as a promoter of CO2 absorption, was studied. The solvents used as the reaction media for CaCO3 precipitation were aqueous solutions of methanol, isopropanol and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), in a concentration range of 0–20% (v/v). It was found that the presence of an
